Rosemary’s Retirement

With great sadness, we said goodbye on 30 August to Rosemary as she officiated at her last service as Priest in Charge of the Benefice. After a very well attended and beautiful service, Simon Gash made a heartfelt speech of thanks, as Rosemary was presented with gifts of paintings, flowers and chocolates, bought as a result of very generous contributions made by all the parishes in the Benefice.

We all wish Rosemary and Andrew a very happy retirement, and are quite sure that neither of them has any intention of giving up work.

The Benefice will now enter an interregnum, with no Priest in Charge, until a successor is appointed. Visiting ministers will continue to officiate where possible. A diary of future services can be seen on the Diary page of this website.

Thank you all for your support

The Affordable Art Show last weekend was very successful, thanks to tremendous support from our participating artists and willing volunteers. A very special thank you is due to the visitors ( upwards of 400) who came along and bought artworks and/or made generous donations, enabling £1406.18 to be raised for the Church.

This money is very welcome as the Church is badly in need of funds, particularly as lockdown has kept congregations and visitors away. Donations can be made on our donations page.
